Justin Wrote

I received two letters from Justin today. I didn't expect one until Monday but I was glad to see the "Army Strong" envelopes in the mailbox. He is doing really good. His platoon got in trouble again, of course, it was because of the younger ones not paying attention to what the DI's are telling them to do. They had to sit out side in the dirt to eat their dinner when it was 30 degrees. He was eating a manwich MRE (Meal Ready to Eat) which sounds really gross but he said it wasn't too bad because he was really hungry. They had their gas chamber exercise. They had to take off their masks and do jumping jacks and recite the Soldier's Creed (written in a previous post if you want to read it). He didn't have guard duty that night so he got a full nights rest and woke up refreshed. Oh, just a reminder:
When sending him a letter, please make sure that it is addressed to Pvt. Gonzalez, Justin
On the back of the envelope please write 1st Platoon. If these two items are not correct, he has to do 15 push ups for each error before he can get his letter. I didn't know that 1st platoon had to be on the back until today so I'm guilty, too. He received seven letters on Monday and had to 30 push ups for each letter... you do the math. Lol. He was very happy to see that so many letters had arrived. It's been tough for them and he appreciates the support.
I'm not sure how much time he gets to write. It may just be on Sunday but I'm sure he will write everyone that has written him as soon as he can. I'm not sure which addresses he has with him so make sure you put your return address on the envelope.
Things are going good here in Memphis. It's been a really nice week so we've been outside alot. The kids play until well after the sun goes down and crash for the night right after dinner. I wish had as much energy as they did. Being outside in the sun relaxes me and relaxation leads to being lazy and lazy makes me tired. Lol. It's a vicious cycle. Nothing really going on. Mikayla still doesn't use a pacie! She thinks the pacie fairy is going to mail it back to her but it's no longer an issue at night. Only when the mail runs. It's funny... I'm running to see if Justin wrote and she's running to see if her pacie came back. Lol. Both girls are doing really good. Allie is using words alot more. Mikayla's new word is "cool." Everything is cool! They've both been on benadryl for a few days. The ever changing weather and the sky high pollen count are to blame though. It's been pretty uneventful out here though. Just sitting and watching the kids play. It was 80 on Wednesday so they got to play in the sprinkler while I washed our car. They had a blase. Mikayla even got a little sun! Poor thing, she's pasty like her mama. Well, time to get back to the kiddos. I'll write again soon!
